The Martin family have been farming organically since 2006 but working the Cambridgeshire fens for four generations. It was decided the soil was too exquisite not to be preserved in as natural a state as possible.
Clive and Tobias produce vegetables to exacting standards and on an impressive scale to demand. Our favourites include the violette and globe artichokes as well as their squash and early season organic asparagus.
Bedlam Farms is deeply committed to environmental stewardship. They participate in schemes such as Higher Level Stewardship, Organic Entry Level Stewardship, and hold LEAF Marque and Red Tractor certifications. They also run a 25-year habitat enhancement project with partners to improve local woodland and support species like the great crested newt.
