Todoli citrus foundation

The Todoli Citrus Foundation is the creation of Vincente Todoli, a former director of the Tate Modern, who turned back to his roots in citrus farming and started this incredible project. It began in 2013 with the mission of researching and preserving the diversity of citrus fruits specifically, but more generally, the environment and Valencian agriculture.

The quality and diversity of fruits grown here is staggering, with over 500 varieties of citrus originating from all over the world, grown in an 11 acre garden in the small town of Palmera on the edges of the Mediterranean. Lemons, Limes, Oranges, Pomelos, Kumquats, Trifoliates, Australian Citrus, Citrons are all grown, studied, preserved and enjoyed here.

Not only do they grow citrus, Todoli also carry out agricultural research into pesticide alternatives, partnering with educational institutions and government bodies to do so. A genuine force to be reckoned with in sustainable agriculture and lord can they grow an orange.
